Houston police have learned the identity of a man fatally shot at 6566 Homestead Road about 8:10 a.m. on Sunday (March 20).The victim, Jhon Dias, 26, was positively identified this afternoon (March 23) by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.Earlier today, HPD released surveillance video of the suspect in Dias’ shooting. The suspect is described only as a black male, 20-25 years-old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants with white stripes, and black shoes. He had a hoodie over his head and a dark face mask. Persad and A. Grimes reported:HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a convenience store at the above address. Upon arrival, they met with Houston Fire Department paramedics and gained entry into the store. Once inside, they found the store clerk in the back office suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
