Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7600 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 5:35 a.m. today (August 4).
The identity of the deceased male, 48, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer M. Lares reported:
The male was operating a green Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling eastbound at the above address when he failed to control speed and struck the rear of a red Ford F-250 pickup truck that had slowed due to traffic.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist deceased. The male driver, 42. of the pickup truck was not injured. He was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
