Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 9460 West Sam Houston Parkway South

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 9460 West Sam Houston Parkway South about 3:20 p.m. on Saturday (August 27).  
The suspect, Christopher David Hernandez, 23, is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court.  A booking photo of Hernandez is not available for release at this time, pending further investigation.
The identity of the male victim, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Barker and A. Velazquez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in the parking lot of a store at the above address and learned the victim and Hernandez got into a dispute believed to be over driving and parking.  A preliminary investigation and evidence indicated the victim and Hernandez parked on the same row and met as they walked toward the store.  Both men got into a verbal altercation and Hernandez pulled out a handgun.  Hernandez then fired several shots at the victim and striking him multiple times.  Hernandez the walked into the store, where he was detained by police officers.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in critical condition.  He was later transported via Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
Hernandez was arrested and subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
The investigation is continuing.
