Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2800 Yale Street, Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2800 Yale Street about 11:10 a.m. today (May 30).The identity of the deceased female, believed to be in her 50s or 60s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer L. Ho reported:The female, believed to be homeless, was in a raised median and was either pushing a wheelchair or in the wheelchair when she entered the roadway without yielding to traffic. At that time, she was struck by a white Nissan NV150 work van traveling northbound on Yale Street. Paramedics transported the woman to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
