UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in January Fatal Shooting at 1714 Collingsworth Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 1714 Collingsworth Street about 9:50 p.m. on January 28.
The suspect, James Lee London, 48, is charged with murder in the 176th State District Court. A booking of London is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the death of Jaquary White, 44.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detectives D. Higgs and C. Bowling reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and observed an unresponsive male in a field.  He had suffered a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male, later identified as Mr. White, to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation identified London as the suspect in this incident. He was later arrested and on Monday (June 5), he was charged for his role in the shooting.
