Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5100 North Freeway, Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 5100 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 4:15 a.m. today (Sept. 25).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer C. Moralez reported:
A male driving a silver Nissan Xterra northbound entered the North Freeway near the Airline Drive ramp. The Nissan then crossed four lanes of traffic and struck the concrete median. Both the driver and a second male were ejected from the vehicle. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced one male deceased at the scene and transported the other to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.
At this time, it is unknown who was driving the vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
