Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a male found at 6900 Avenue S about 3:20 p.m. on Monday (January 22).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Lunceford and D. Davis reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a person lying in the street and found the victim lying in the roadway, unresponsive, and suffering from a stab wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined a red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with a black toolbox in the bed was seen leaving the area and is wanted for questioning. Surveillance photos of the pickup truck are attached to this news release.
