Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred in the 12800 block Alief Clodine Road about 9:35 a.m. today (Feb. 24).
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer L. Ho reported:
The deceased male was driving a red Ford Mustang eastbound on Alief Clodine at the above address. The driver of a white Toyota Sienna van was traveling westbound on Alief Clodine and attempted to make a left turn onto South Pinesap Drive. The driver of the Toyota did not yield the right of way and struck the Mustang. The Mustang then struck the curb on the south side of the roadway.
The driver of the Mustang was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital – Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. A male passenger was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the Toyota was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital – Katy, with non life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
