Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 826 Catherwood Place about 8:45 p.m. last Friday (March 29).
The suspect, Ricardo Domingo Reyna, 22, is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court. Photos of Reyna, who is not in custody at this time, are attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective K. Stringer reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and were met by Houston Fire Department paramedics providing medical assistance to a man who had been shot multiple times. The man was transported by paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined the victim and a male suspect got into a verbal altercation. The suspect then produced a handgun and shot the victim multiple times and fled the scene on foot.
Witnesses identified the suspect as Reyna. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and a murder charge was filed. Reyna remains at-large.
