Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a juvenile female at 832 West Greens Road about 6:15 p.m. on Thursday (April 18).
The suspect, 13, was referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
The victim, also 13, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Gardner Barker reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at an apartment complex at the above address and learned one female juvenile stabbed another. A preliminary investigation determined the incident was initiated by a verbal altercation, which escalated when the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim at least once.
The suspect was detained by responding officers and referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities.
