Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 3411 Bremond Street about 4:35 a.m. on Monday (May 27).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detective D. Stark reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the residence the above address and learned the victim and a group of friends had gone out for the night and when they returned, they walked into a possible burglary taking place in the home. An altercation between the group and an unknown number of suspects ensued and, at some point, one of the suspects produced a handgun and fired shots. The victim was struck and the suspects fled. The wounded male was transported in a private vehicle to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
At this time, there is no known suspects’ descriptions.
