Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest sought in the fatal stabbing of a man at 4720 Montrose Boulevard about 3:10 p.m. on August 24.
Surveillance photos of the person of interest, described only as a black male, are attached to this news release. He is not charged at this time.
The victim is identified as Phillip Cason, 34.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Martinez and S. Chettry reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call in the parking lot of a business at the above address and found the victim unresponsive near the doorway of the business. He had been stabbed multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim, later identified as Mr. Cason, to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
According to a witness, an unknown black male suspect was seen running westbound on Banks Street.
