Houston police are asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 9700 Homestead Road about 1:10 a.m. on June 9.
The individual, Treveon J. Walls, 26, is wanted for questioning in the incident. He is not charged at this time. A prior photo of Walls is attached to this new release.
The victim is identified as Alberto Posada, 25.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. They learned that Mr. Posada’s vehicle had been chased by another vehicle and shots were fired at the victim’s vehicle as it arrived at the hospital. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.
Posada suffered at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to another area hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased on June 11.
Investigators determined the incident began as a verbal altercation at a gas station at 9700 Homestead Road and escalated into a road rage incident.
Further investigation identified Walls as a person of interest. Detectives would like to speak with him about any information he has on the incident.
