Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7200 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 7:30 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 16).
The identity of the deceased male, 26, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer L. Fenoglio reported:
The male was driving a black Audi A4 at a high rate of speed southbound onto the entrance ramp near the above address when he attempted to change lanes. At that time, the male lost control of the vehicle and struck a retaining wall. The impact caused the vehicle to flip over and eject the driver. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
