UPDATE: Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 1501 St. Joseph Parkway

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 1501 St. Joseph Parkway about 2:45 a.m. on September 15.
The suspect, Francisco Javier Ochoa, 19, is charged with manslaughter in the 209th State District Court.  A photo of Ochoa, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Joselyn Espinoza, 24.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Persad and Detective L. Gonzales reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a hospital check call at the above address – St. Joseph Medical Center – regarding a person with a gunshot wound transported by private vehicle.  The victim, identified as Ms. Espinoza, was later transported to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.
At that time, the circumstances and location of the shooting were not known.
Further investigation identified Ochoa as the suspect in this case and it was determined the shooting occurred in a motel parking lot in the 15000 block of Mesa Drive.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Ochoa was subsequently charged for his role in this incident.
