Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11130 Gulf Freeway, Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 11130 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 12:15 a.m. last Friday (Sept. 27).
The deceased male is identified as Felipe Gonzales, 30.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Clear Lake Patrol Division officers reported:
The driver of a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling southbound on the freeway at the above address when he attempted to avoid, but struck a pedestrian lying in the main lanes.
The pedestrian, later identified as Mr. Gonzales, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased on Saturday (Sept. 28).
The male driver, 29, remained at the scene, was determined not to be intoxicated, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
