Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10000 La Porte Freeway (State Highway 225) about 11 p.m. on Thursday (October 17).
The identity of the deceased male, 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer C. Ballard reported:
The male was driving a white Pontiac G6 the wrong way eastbound in the westbound lanes near the above address and struck a Ford Mustang head-on traveling westbound on the freeway.
The driver of the Pontiac was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics. The male driver, 25, of the Mustang was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
The investigation is continuing.
