Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6700 West Sam Houston Parkway South service road about 9:30 p.m. on Monday (November 4).
The identity of the deceased male, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer N. Solomon reported:
The driver of a black Jaguar XF was traveling southbound on the service road near the above address when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a signal light. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the driver and female passenger, 24, to an area hospital.
The driver was pronounced deceased. The female passenger suffered major injuries, but is expected to survive.
The investigation is continuing.
