Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of three men at 8000 Cook Road about 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday (November 5).
The identities of two of the deceased men, 17, and the third man, age unknown, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Brooks reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found two unresponsive males in the laundry room of the complex. Both had suffered gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced both males, 17, deceased. A third male, an adult, was found just outside the laundry room. He also suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased
A preliminary investigation determined two suspects, described only as Hispanic males, got into a disturbance with two other males in the complex laundry room. The disturbance escalated and gunfire was exchanged among the men, resulting in three of them being fatally shot. The surviving adult male (suspect) fled the scene in an unknown direction.
