Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6425 Westheimer Road

The fatal shooting of a man at 6425 Westheimer Road about 10:30 a.m. on Saturday (November 9) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male shooter, 29, was not injured.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Graf II, K. Stringer and E. Torres II reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim unresponsive in the parking lot.  He had suffered a gunshot wound.  Paramedics transported him to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The shooter called 9-1-1 and waited nearby for police.
Further investigation determined the shooting was a result of an argument that escalated when the male threatened the shooter with glass bottles.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and it was determined the case will be reviewed by a grand jury.
