UPDATE: Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 14911 Richmond Avenue

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 14911 Richmond Avenue about 6:20 p.m. on November 14.
The suspect, Trezahn Jamal Grace, 28, is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.  A 2022 booking photo of Grace, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Darius Merrett, 34.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective G. Rangel reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim unresponsive on a set of stairs.  He had been shot multiple times.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim, later identified as Mr. Merrett, deceased.
According to witnesses, a suspect, described only as an unknown black male, was seen fleeing in a matte black, two-door Mercedes Benz.
Further investigation identified Grace as a suspect in this shooting and he was subsequently charged.
