Suspects Arrested, Charged in October 2023 Fatal Shooting at 12100 Buffalo Speedway

Houston police have arrested two suspects charged in the fatal shooting of two males found at 12100 Buffalo Speedway about 10:15 .m. on October 8, 2023.
Noble Lawrence, 39, is charged with capital murder in the 183rd State District Court. Desundre Whitfield, 33, is charged with capital murder and two counts of aggravated kidnapping in the 185th State District Court. Booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.
The victims are identified as Robert Boyd, 47, and Darryl Lewis, 27.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo and Detective E. May reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a person down at the above address after a passerby found two unresponsive males on the side of the road. Both males had suffered gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the males deceased.
Further investigation determined Messrs. Boyd and Lewis were abducted from the 12500 block of Ashford Meadow Drive on October 8. They were then shot and left on the Buffalo Speedway connector road. The suspects were identified as Lawrence and Whitfield.
On June 26, 2024, Whitfield was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping for his role in the Boyd and Lewis’ death. On Wednesday (November 20) he was also charged with capital murder.
On Tuesday (Nov. 19), members of the South Gessner Patrol Tactical team arrested Lawrence and charges of capital murder were accepted against him.
