Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a crash at 7600 North Wayside Drive about 2:40 p.m. on November 21 has died.
The identity of the man, 59, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Northeast Patrol Division Officer T. Richard reported:
The man was walking westbound on the south side of the 7900 block of Ley Road near the intersection of North Wayside Drive when he was struck by a white tractor-trailer truck making a right turn from Ley Road onto North Wayside Drive.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased on Monday (December 2).
The male driver, 49, of the truck remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
