Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 10450 Northwest Freeway

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man and woman at 10450 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road about 3:30 p.m.
The suspect, Marco Antonio Gonzalez Garcia, 25, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 351st State District Court. Gonzalez Garcia’s booking photo is attached to this news release.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective M. Bellahna reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of a business at the above address and found a male, 21 and female, 19, with gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to an area hospital and are listed in stable conditions.
Officers learned a suspect shot the victims while they were inside a vehicle in the parking lot. The suspect then fled the scene.
Officers located the suspect’s vehicle at a nearby apartment complex and detained 3 people. Further investigation, evidence and witness statements identified one of the individuals detained as the suspect in this incident.
Investigators consulted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and Gonzalez Garcia was charged and arrested for his role in the shooting.
