WHAT: Garage fire.
WHEN: October 6, 2024, at 3:48 a.m.
WHERE: 6700 block of Avenue E. 77011.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a detached garage fully involved in fire. They made an attack on the fire and protected a nearby exposure. A primary search was completed, and the fire was controlled. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 40 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 20, 23, 19, 17, 18, 40, 42 and Rescue 42.
