The fatal shooting of a man at 4679 Weaver Road about 5:50 a.m. on Wednesday (December 18) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The female shooter, 49, was not injured in the incident.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Brooks and Detective C. Flora reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased. Officers detained a female at the scene who identified herself as the shooter.
The female told investigators the male attacked her and, after a brief confrontation and struggle, the male was shot.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and it was determined the case would be presented to a grand jury for review.
