WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: September 11, 2023, at 12:29 a.m.
WHERE: 8700 block of Tilgham St. 77029.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $105,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $125,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (extension cord).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A primary and secondary search were completed, and the roof was ventilated. The utilities were secured, and the fire was extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 35 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 20, 45, 27, 41, 42, 30 and Rescue 42.
