Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 5656 Kelley Street about 11 p.m. on Sunday (September 17).
The identity of the victim, believed to be in his 30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Stroble and Detective K. Collier reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a hospital check call at Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital, at the above address, after an unresponsive man was transported by private vehicle to the emergency room. The man had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives spoke to the driver of the vehicle but were unable to determine the location of where the shooting occurred.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
