Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men that occurred at 8900 BIssonnet Street about 5:35 p.m. on Saturday (September 23).
The identities of the deceased men, 30 and 48, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detectives A. Ledford and M. Barton reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls of a shooting near the above address and found two unresponsive males with gunshot wounds lying on the ground. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced both men deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicated one of the men was believed to be the intended target of the shooting, while the second victim was an bystander. The unknown suspect(s) fled in what is believed to be a light-colored Nissan Sentra with a broken door handle on the front passenger side door. A surveillance photo of the vehicle is attached to this news release.
