Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2700 Renshaw Street about 9:20 p.m. last Friday (September 29).
The identity of the deceased male, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y Ramirez and Officer J. Trevino reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a vehicle submerged in a bayou at the above address. HPD Dive Team officers responded to the scene and recovered a gray Ford Mustang with a deceased male inside.
A preliminary investigation indicated the driver (deceased male) was traveling northbound on Renshaw Street and drove into a private driveway, which led to a grassy embankment. The vehicle then submerged in the bayou.
The investigation is continuing.
