Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2100 Broadway Street about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday (May 8).
The identity of the victim, believed to be in his 30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Ledford and M. Barton reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim lying in the grass unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
According to witnesses, the victim and an unknown suspect got into a verbal altercation before the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim at least once.
At this time there is no suspect description.
