Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male and wounding of another at 6100 Fairdale Lane about 5 a.m. on Sunday (October 6).
The identity of the deceased victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo and Detective D. Higgs reported:
Two males were driving around the area near the above address and then drove to a parking lot behind 6150 Richmond Avenue. The men stopped their vehicle to talk to females that were walking with a group of males to their vehicles. One of the males confronted one of the victims while he was speaking to the females and subsequently shot him multiple times. The suspect then shot the second victim. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced one of the males deceased. The second male was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a small build, an edge up hairstyle and wearing a black T-shirt and jeans. Detectives are also searching for a white Cadillac XTS -style sedan with no front or back license plates, a white Scion XB and a dark gray Mercedes Class C sedan.
