Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 2605 Aldine Westfield Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 2605 Aldine Westfield Road about 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday (October 16).  
The suspect, George Albert Saldivar, 34, is charged with murder in the 487th State District Court.  A booking photo of Saldivar is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 61, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives G. Rangel, K. Amri and H. Montealegre-Cerrato reported:
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a life-alert notification at an apartment complex at the above address and saw a male suspect covered in blood and fleeing the scene.  Paramedics entered the apartment and found the victim unresponsive lying on the floor.  Paramedics pronounced the man deceased.
HPD patrol officers responded to the scene and, after searching the area, found and detained the suspect, later identified as Saldivar.
Further investigation determined the victim suffered multiple stab wounds.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Saldivar was subsequently charged and booked into the Harris County Jail.
