Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a male at 14723 West Oaks Plaza Drive about 10:55 p.m. on September 14.
The suspect is described only as a black male wearing a white T-shirt. He is believed to be in a gray SUV, possibly a Ford Escape. Surveillance video and photos of the suspect and the vehicle are attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Austin Pham, 23.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C. LaFour, A. Lopez and Detectives G. Zavala and N. Sharp reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a suspicious person with a weapon call at an apartment complex at the above address. A caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing people flee the area with weapons. Upon arrival officers found an unresponsive male suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
At that time, there was no known motive or suspect(s).
Further investigation and evidence from the scene developed a possible suspect and suspect vehicle, as seen in the surveillance video and photos.
