“Love for the Holidays” – Petco Love’s Adoption & Foster Event Features Thousands of Shelter Pets Across Texas, Including Houston

WHAT:
Holidays are all about LOVE and family. BARC, the City of Houston’s Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, and Petco Love encourage everyone to fill their home, and the heart of a shelter pet, with Love by adopting or fostering this Holiday Season. Santa confirmed: Texas shelter pets have one wish this holiday season to be celebrating and spending time with a family. To stay on his “good list”, Petco Love is partnering with 39 Texas animal organizations, including BARC, to help make that wish come true.
The Love for the Holidays event takes place on December 21 and 22 and features over 7,500 pets, including puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats, and other companion animals located at Texas shelters and ready to be adopted or fostered. BARC, and other participating shelters, are waiving all adoption fees, making it easier for those ready for a lifetime of love to adopt a shelter pet this holiday season. For others looking to provide a temporary home, shelter staff will also be on-hand to help simplify the process to foster a pet for the holiday season.
So, fill your home with the unconditional love and the pure joy, fun, and silly antics of a pet this holiday – Adopt or Foster a pet and fill your home with Love for the Holidays.
