Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5050 Yale Street about 10 p.m. on Monday (January 27).
The identity of the victim, 18, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Vinogradov and D. Crowder reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at an apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive male with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots in the area and seeing a possible suspect, described only as a black male in a black hoodie, fleeing the area shortly after the shooting. A black sedan of unknown make or model was also seen leaving the area.
