Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9800 Westheimer Road
Houston police have learned a woman involved in a crash at 9800 Westheimer Road about 6 p.m. on July 19 has died.
The identity of the victim, 81, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Ogden and Westside Patrol Division Officer F. Padilla reported:
The male driver, 87, of a Honda Accord traveling westbound at the above address appeared to have suffered a medical episode that caused him to strike a Ford Escape and a Jeep Patriot waiting at the stop light at the intersection of Elmside Drive.
The driver of the Honda and the victim were transported to Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital in unknown conditions. Doctors pronounced the victim deceased on Thursday (July 29).
The investigation is continuing.
