Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2900 Airport Boulevard about 11 p.m. on Monday (June 10).
The identity of the deceased woman, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer L. Fenoglio reported:
A black Kia Optima was traveling northbound on the service road of the South Freeway (South Highway 288) and struck a white Jeep Liberty traveling eastbound on Airport Boulevard. The impact caused the Jeep to strike a light pole on the east side of the intersection.
The passenger in the Jeep was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The female driver, 27, of the Jeep and male driver, 27, of the Kia were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing,
