Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3900 Fondren Road about 3:50 a.m. on Sunday (September 29).
The identity of the deceased female, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer N. Solomon reported:
A male was driving a blue Infiniti G35 southbound near the above address when the vehicle struck a curb, a tree and a light pole. The male and a female passenger were ejected and the vehicle then caught fire
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the driver and passenger to an area hospital, where the female was pronounced deceased. The male, 34, remains in critical condition.
The investigation is continuing.
