The fatal shooting of a man at 10015 Morocco Road about 1:20 a.m. today (Jan. 22) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male shooter, 37, was not injured in the incident.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Diaz and M. Castillo reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence at the above address and found a male performing chest compressions on an unresponsive male who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The shooter told responding officers that he and his brother – deceased male – had been involved in multiple disturbances and arguments over the past couple of days. The shooter said his brother was trying to force his way into a room occupied by two female family members and a child. The shooter said he shot his brother in an attempt to protect himself and family members. No other persons were injured in this shooting.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and it was determined the case would be presented to a grand jury for review.
