Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found after a fire was extinguished at 3806 Lila Street about 2:15 a.m. today (Jan. 24).
The identity of the man, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Hale and E, Camacho reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a male found deceased after a fire was reported at the residence at the above address. Houston Fire Department personnel advised the male was found inside the home. A female, 26, was also at the home and transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
A preliminary investigation indicated no evidence of foul play. The investigation is pending the man’s cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
The HFD Arson Bureau will determine the cause of the fire.
