House Fire in the Greater Fifth Ward Area
WHAT:
House Fire
WHEN:
July 29, 2021 at 3:42 a.m.
WHERE:
3800 block of Lee, 77026
INJURIES:
No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED:
Not available.
DAMAGE:
$55 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE:
Under Investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find heavy fire coming from a 1-story house. There were exposures on two sides of the home and a vehicle on fire. One of the nearby homes suffered fire and smoke damage. Crews worked to extinguish the fire and the protect the exposures. A primary search was conducted and the fire was tapped out. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 23, 19, 12, 27, 30, 18 and 8 responded to this incident.
