Investigation into Shooting at 1219 State Highway 6 North
Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 1219 State Highway 6 North about 2:45 a.m. today (July 30).
The victim, Kevin Hicks, 28, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers C. Brown and J. Windham reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at a gas station at the above address and learned a man (Mr. Hicks) had been shot one time in the back and that he may have exchanged gunfire with unknown suspects. Paramedics transported Hicks to a hospital.
A witness saw Hicks and another male get into a verbal argument inside the store and then heard gunfire outside the store. Officers recovered a gun at the scene.
