Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 3701 Parker Road about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday (Dec. 16).
The suspect, Reuben Ramdeo (H/m, 44), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 339th State District Court. A booking photo of Ramdeo is attached to this news release.
The victim, 28, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Barker and A. Velazquez reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a business at the above address and were advised the victim got into an argument with a suspect who pulled a gun and shot the victim in the chest. The suspect, identified as Ramdeo, was detained by patrol officers and taken into custody. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
Ramdeo was booked into jail and subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
