Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1400 Lockwood Drive

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1400 Lockwood Drive about 9:55 p.m. on Saturday (September 21).
The identity of the deceased male, 18, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer D. Thompson reported:
The driver of a purple Dodge pickup truck was traveling southbound near the above address and entered the intersection at Market Street. At that time, the Dodge was struck by a red Nissan Sentra traveling westbound on Market.  The Dodge rolled several times and came to a rest on its hood.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the driver of the Dodge deceased.  The driver of the Nissan was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the Nissan Sentra, identified as Lakeisha Woodfork, 26, was determined to be intoxicated and subsequently charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated in Harris County Criminal Court #12.
The investigation is continuing to determine which driver was at-fault for the crash.
