WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: October 1, 2024, at 1:09 a.m.
WHERE: 7800 block of Garden St. 77012.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators have classified the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the side of a 1-story house. They made an exterior attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. Crews quickly extinguished the fire that had also spread into the attic area. A fan was used to ventilate the smoke form the home and the utilities were controlled. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 34 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 23, 20, 26, 29, 40 and 18.
