Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 8300 Canyon Street about 3:40 a.m. on Thursday (October 3).
The suspect, Cryisal Jordan, 41, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 487th State District Court. A booking photo of Jordan is attached to this news release.
The victim, 60, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective T. Johnson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at a residence in the 6300 block of Crestville Street and saw a man sitting on the front porch of the residence with visible injuries. The victim stated he was involved in a disturbance at his apartment at Canyon Street and the suspect (Jordan) stabbed him multiple times. He was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital. Patrol officers responded to the apartment complex and were able to locate and detain the suspect, later identified as Ms. Jordan.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Jordan was subsequently charged for her role in the incident.
