Houston police have released surveillance video of a suspect vehicle wanted in a fatal hit-and-run crash at 9200 Westpark Drive about 6:40 a.m. on December 13.
The vehicle is described only as a black or dark pickup truck that had a flat rectangular piece of plywood in its cab. The truck likely sustained damage to its front right light.
A surveillance photo of the vehicle (in motion) is also attached to this news release.
The deceased female pedestrian is identified as Lilia Vazquez, 61.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross, Officer R. Bymaster and Detective V. Cantu reported:
Ms. Vazquez was jogging westbound on the right shoulder of Westpark Drive near Jeanetta Drive, when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. The unknown driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. Paramedics pronounced Vazquez deceased at the scene.
Further investigation identified a black pickup truck, unknown make and model, as the vehicle wanted in this case.
