Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of a juvenile male at 5530 Enclave Fountains Lane about 9:20 pm. on Monday (January 13).
The identity of the deceased victim, 21, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The other victim, 15, is in stable condition at an area hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. LaFour and Detective J. Diaz reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased. Officers then responded to a second call regarding a shooting victim in the 5600 block of West Tidwell Road near Antoine Drive. A juvenile male was found with a gunshot wound. He was transported by paramedics to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined three to four suspects fled the scene on foot and in a vehicle described only as a gray/silver Honda.
