UPDATE: Suspects Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 5050 Sunflower Street

Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 5050 Sunflower Street about 5:25 p.m. on February 25.
The suspects, Isaiah Chavez, 17, and Charles Dandre Cooper, 31, are charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court.  Both are accused in the death of Justin Davidson, 20.
Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Patterson reported:
Mr. Davidson and a male suspect were inside the victim’s truck for a few minutes.  At some point, the suspect shot Davidson once in the head, took something from him, and got out of the truck.  The suspect then got into the passenger side of a waiting gold Chevrolet Suburban and fled the scene.  The victim was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
At that time, the suspects were described only as two unknown males.  Surveillance photos of one suspect and the gold Suburban, attached below, were previously released to media on February 28.
Further investigation identified Chavez and Cooper as suspects in this case.  Both suspects were arrested on Thursday (April 14) by the Brazoria County Narcotics Task Force and subsequently charged for their roles in the shooting.
